About this event

Finding Home is multi-sensory art installation created by John Santomieri. This experience is meant to be explored organically in a two hour time frame. Viewers are invited to walk the historic grounds and encounter Santomieri's orchestrated performance, executed by the talents of 6 unique performers. These artists perform their ideas of home in relation to ‘new’ realizations of nature. This is a special and unique experience with very limited tickets due to COVID-19 restrictions, and masks are required. More information on Graycliff's COVID protocols at experiencegraycliff.org.

Performers:

• Alma Peguero: Visual and Performance Artist

• Hunter Gordon: Bassoon Soloist /Performer

• Felipe Shibuya: Ecologist / Artist,Performer

• Caroline Gilbert: Viola Soloist / Performer

• Allison Cook: Vocal Soloist / Performer

• John Salmeri III: Visual and Performance Artist

Each performer and their performance occurs in the silhouette of a bald eagle in different flight forms arranged in pairs, as has been seen at Graycliff and WNY. Painted on the ground using black turf paint as shadows, the eagles represent post-humanist and post-colonial perspectives; clearer ways of seeing the significance, and relativity, of our performative behaviors of home during these times.

*This limited experience is a unique visual and performing art experience and not a concert.
